The Power Plugin (TPP) has announced a collaboration with SiGMA. As part of this deal, TPP will donate a unique piece from its sports memorabilia collection for a charity auction at the upcoming SiGMA Awards in Malta.

The auction is scheduled to take place on 11 November during the SiGMA Europe Summit 2024. While details about the specific item remain undisclosed, TPP has indicated that it will be a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.

This event marks TPP’s continued involvement in charitable activities within the industry, following the successful auction of a Pelé-signed jersey which raised over $16,500 for cancer treatment in Brazil earlier this year.

Proceeds from the upcoming SiGMA auction will benefit the SiGMA Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting various social causes worldwide.

The Foundation’s recent initiatives include funding cleft lip and palate reconstructive surgeries for 60 children in Colombia, donating to a farm in Gozo that educates children with past traumas through animal interactions and inaugurating a 3-in-1 school in Ethiopia for over 1,000 children.

In related news, the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) recently announced that its members have donated £172.5m ($222.73m) to combat problem gambling and gambling-related harm over a four-year period.

The funding is largely used to support Research, Prevention and Treatment (RPT) initiatives – predominantly managed by the independent charity GambleAware.

At a more local level, last month also saw Merkur Casino hosting a charity football tournament that raised £12,000 for the Merkur Initiative, with the money being used to support various charities and good causes across the UK.
