Wynn Macau is supporting the Macau SAR Government’s “1+4” diversification strategy by hosting events that enhance Macau’s tourism sector.
One such example, on 31 May, will see the Wynn Macau Grand Ballroom feature the “Snooker Legend and Rising Star Exhibition Game,” showcasing seven-time World Snooker Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan against Si Jia Hui, a semi-finalist at the 2023 World Championship.
Wynn is enhancing the experience with a creative, snooker-themed dessert served at the exhibition game’s dinner. Additionally, a live band will perform popular songs, and there will be a raffle for autographed snooker memorabilia, including balls, cue sticks, and jackets.
By bringing such world-class sporting events to Macau, Wynn is not only engaging local and international audiences but also promoting the city’s image as a “City of Sports.” This aligns with Wynn’s efforts to create synergy between tourism and leisure sports industries, thus contributing to the broader goals of Macau’s “Tourism+” initiatives and enhancing the city’s global profile.
Wynn Resorts has earned praise in its recent efforts, including its cage-free eggs policy. The current effort, which aligns with government plans, is also an opportunity, seeing as snooker is popular as a sport as well as within the gaming industry, with sponsorships and strict laws.
