Last week’s Sunday Night Football matchup was a great reminder that picking NFL player props is … not easy. But we’re back at it tonight with our Week 2 SNF Dolphins vs Patriots props.
While we nailed CeeDee Lamb getting his, who could’ve predicted a punt block TD and pick-6 for the Dallas defense in the first quarter, rendering Dak Prescott as the ultimate game manager and sitting in the fourth quarter of a blowout?
Alas, we’re working uphill, but a nice chance make some up when the high-octane Miami Dolphins visit the defensive-minded New England Patriots.
Kickoff goes at 8:20pm ET from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, live on NBC. Weather is overcast and hovering around 68 degrees.
Let’s take a look at the Miami vs New England player props available for this one.

Dolphins vs Patriots Props #1: Tagovailoa Pass Yards & Hill Receiving Yards
The Dolphins’ starting quarterback has yet to lose a game to the Patriots in his young career, sporting a 4-0 mark.
Tagovailoa had gone sub-200 yards passing in his first three starts, but last year, in the breakneck offense run by Mike McDaniel, Tua showed what he’s capable of. He went 23-for-33 for 270 yards with a touchdown in a 20-7 win over the Pats on Sept. 11.

It was the only game Tyreek Hill topped his receiving number against the Patriots in the last four, catching eight balls for 94 yards.
Even after 11 catches, 215 yards and two scores against the Chargers in Week 1, and Bill Belichick likely making Hill the focal point of the defense, this combo is too good right now.
Tua has gone for 285+ passing yards in five of his last six appearances with the Fins as favorites, while Hill has at least 94 receiving yards in four of the Dolphins’ last five September games.
Dolphins vs Patriots Prop Picks:
Tagovailoa OVER 263.5 passing yards (-115); 1 unit to win 0.87 unitsHill OVER 79.5 receiving yards (-125); 1 unit to win 0.80 units

Dolphins vs Patriots Props #2: Stevenson Receiving Yards
I don’t blame you if you want to target Rhamondre Stevenson’s rushing yards total for this one. The Chargers ran all over the Dolphins in Week 1, to the tune of 233 yards on 40 totes, a healthy 5.8 yards per attempt.

Thing is, Stevenson hasn’t yet topped this rushing number in four career games against the Dolphins. While he hasn’t done that in pass yards either, he was a key checkdown for Mac Jones Sunday and could be the connective tissue again for the Pats to stay ahead of the chains.
Stevenson caught all six ball thrown his way for 64 yards. I think he’s featured enough again to cruise over the 24.5 mark.
Dolphins vs Patriots Prop Pick:
Stevenson OVER 24.5 receiving yards (-110); 1 unit to win 0.91 units

For the visitors, Hill (+115) has scored at least one touchdown in six of the Dolphins’ last seven road games. Waddle (+150) is also worth a look: he’s scored a touchdown in three of the Dolphins’ last four games against the Patriots.
In this case, we’re going with ex-Dolphin Mike Gesicki doing it to his former club.
