The club will give racing fans a chance to experience owning a racehorse. Other Racing Club initiatives include training yard visits, meets with trainers, race day tickets, access to all racehorse areas and exclusive content.
Coral’s Racing Club will launch with four racehorses currently in training for the upcoming Jump season. These will be trained by Jonjo O’Neill, Joe Tizzard, Rebecca Menzies and Scott Dixon, who will all train one horse apiece.
The sportsbook says O’Neill is currently sourcing the fifth horse to complete a five-strong team.
For a chance of winning access to these prizes, Coral customers must opt into the Racing Club and submit ballots for a chance to receive a whole ownership experience.
Any prize money won for the horse owner will also go exclusively to the owner, says Coral.
Furthermore, Coral will release a 60-second advertisement featuring its Racing Club.
The media campaign was headed by creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty and executed by the 7stars production company, with the ad directed by Thomas James at Jackdaws Castle and Stratford Racecourse.
Coral Ambassador and former jockey Tom Scudamore will also feature in the ad.
Simon Clare, PR Director for Coral, said: “The Coral Racing Club is the only free-to-join racehorse ownership experience in the UK, and our ambition is to make it the biggest and best Racing Club, getting thousands of our customers closer to the action than ever before.
“There have been times in the past when bookmakers have been accused of prioritising other products like football ahead of racing and not promoting the sport enough.
“But by creating and launching the Coral Racing Club, on top of doubling our investment in racing sponsorship, Coral is now doing more than any betting operator has done before to increase the appeal of racing and promote the sport.”
