Customer could land £2m prize in BetMGM’s Golden Goals game with 3-1 Portugal win…

Ahead of tonight’s clash between Portugal and Czech Republic, a BetMGM customer has found herself in the position where she will be hoping for a 3-1 win from Cristiano Ronaldo and co.

The London-based player has taken part in BetMGM’s free-to-play Golden Goals game, whereby customers have the chance to win a large sum of money by predicting six correct scores.

In the current round, there were six fixtures from the opening round of the UEFA European Championship 2024 (Euro 2024) with one player predicting correctly the scores in five of the six games played so far, including Spain’s 3-0 win over Croatia and France’s 1-0 win over Austria last night.

In total, £5,000 ($6,342.60) has already been won for being the last player standing; but that could jump to the full £2m if her prediction for tonight’s clash comes through.

The prediction by the aforementioned customer for Portugal vs Czech Republic tonight is 3-1, a scoreline seen when the pair met in the group stages during Euro 2008.

BetMGM’s Golden Goals was run during the 2023/24 Premier League season, but this would be the first time a player correctly predicts six scorelines, if it comes through.

BetMGM UK Director Sam Behar said: “At BetMGM, we take your expectations and raise them – and that’s why we give our customers the chance to win £2m in our completely free-to-play Golden Goals predictions game.

“However, we didn’t think anyone would be on the brink of winning the jackpot after the first round of matches! The omens bode well for this customer – the two sides met in the Euro 2008 group stage with Portugal running out 3-1 winners – and we wish them the best of luck this evening.”

In other news related to the tournament, B90 Holdings has announced the launch of the Kings of Euro 2024 competition through its affiliate, Oddsen.nu.
