The operator noted that the membership covers both digital and retail betting brands. It joins several of the leading regulated sports betting operators in the world, with IBIA members accounting for more than $137bn in global betting handle per annum, and almost 50% of all regulated commercial operator online betting activity.

Mohegan is an extension of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut and is the owner, developer and manager of gambling and entertainment resorts in the US, Canada and Northern Asia. Online gambling is provided through its Mohegan Digital brand.

Run by operators for operators, the IBIA protects its members from corruption through collective action. It represents the sector at high-level policy discussion forums such as the IOC, UN, Council of Europe and European Commission.
