Allwyn has selected a new Chief Technology Officer, Ifor Evans, who will move over to the UK’s National Lottery Provider from Bally’s.
With over 25 years of experience in industries such as IT management, project leadership and software engineering, Evans is set to take over the role of CTO from Tony Khatskevich.
Khatskevich has decided to move from his current position to become an official advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Active as of 1 June, Evans will bring expertise from his previous role as Group Chief Technology Officer at Bally’s Corp, a position he held since 2019. Earlier in his career, Evans also led a team of 400 individuals as part of the Lazada Group.
Commenting on his appointment, Evans himself said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Group Chief Technology Officer of Allwyn. The company’s commitment to social impact is evident across its global footprint. I look forward to helping the team to develop even better lotteries and new game formats through the power of cutting-edge technology and future thinking.”
After officially taking over the UK National Lottery from Camelot in February, Allwyn recently announced provisional financial ps this week, with revenue expected to reach €2bn ($2.17bn) and €2.05bn for Q1 2024.
Robert Chvátal, Allwyn Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ifor as our new Group Chief Technology Officer to continue enhancing the innovation of the lotteries we operate. Allwyn wants to make its lotteries even more entertaining and attractive to new audiences, and in doing so have even more of a positive impact on society.”
“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Tony for his exceptional contribution and commitment to Allwyn over the past six years.”
