SkillOnNet has been granted a licence to operate in Peru by the Ministry of Foreign Commerce and Tourism (MINCETUR).
This new licence will allow Peruvian players access to SkillOnNet’s portfolio of casino games through its flagship brand, PlayUZU.pe, which features localised Spanish language software.
Peru’s online gambling sector has been active for some time, but it reportedly lacked a formal legal licensing framework until August 2022. At that time, Peruvian legislators passed a law establishing comprehensive regulations for gambling activities, which took effect in February 2024.
This regulatory framework opened a 30-day window for licence applications, during which SkillOnNet applied for and secured its new licence.
SkillOnNet has already launched operations in the newly regulated markets of Mexico and Buenos Aires City. SkillOnNet operates several gaming brands in numerous jurisdictions worldwide, including Portugal, Germany, the UK and North America.
In July 2024, SkillOnNet expanded its casino game library in Ontario by integrating content from the UK-based 1X2 Network. This expansion allows Ontario players to access games from Iron Dog Studio, Prospect Gaming, 1X2gaming and more through SkillOnNet’s Ontario brands such as PlayOjo and SlotsMagic.
The addition of these titles, including Arriba Heat, Mr. Porky Banker and Prospector Wilds, is part of an existing partnership with 1X2 Network.
In June 2024, the company added IGT PlayDigital content to its Ontario brands, including games like Cleopatra Legacy and Double Gold. In May 2024, SkillOnNet secured a global content deal with Spinomenal, incorporating titles such as Queen of Ice and Baba Yaga Tales into its online casino brands.
